Research and Advocacy

Conduct research on various climate and environmental policies from the youth perspective and provide advocacy support on climate change in Ghana on key international and national issues such as the UNFCCC processes including negotiations, REDD+ programme, Green Climate Fund (GCF), other Climate finance mechanisms, Biodiversity, Renewable Energy etc.

Campaigns

SYND runs campaigns to inform and educate the public on prevailing issues in the four program areas to drive positive change. We do this utilising various communication channels such as social media platforms, traditional media outlets, and community engagement, to effectively disseminate pertinent information to the wider public. These campaigns not only aim to raise awareness but also empower individuals by providing them with accurate and insightful knowledge about the issue at hand.

Youth Engagement

Youth Engagement (focused on broader impacts of climate change and other environmental issues on youth): SYND is the convener of the Youth in Natural Resources and Environmental Governance (Youth-NREG) Platform, which provides space for knowledge learning and sharing among young people working on different environmental actions as well as create opportunity for joint advocacy in a concerted manner.
